Standing with Aba Abdillah عليه السلام

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَابْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّينَ. السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ. السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ اللّٰهِ وَابْنَ ثَارِهِ، وَالْوِتْرَ الْمَوْتُورَ.

Peace be upon you, O Aba Abdillah. Peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of Allah. Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful, son of the master of the inheritors. Peace be upon you, O son of Fatima, mistress of the women of the worlds. Peace be upon you, O blood of Allah and son of His blood, and the unavenged loss.

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى الْأَرْوَاحِ الَّتِي حَلَّتْ بِفِنَائِكَ، عَلَيْكُمْ مِنِّي جَمِيعًا سَلَامُ اللّٰهِ أَبَدًا، مَا بَقِيتُ وَبَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ. يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ، لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الرَّزِيَّةُ، وَجَلَّتْ وَعَظُمَتِ الْمُصِيبَةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ الْإِسْلَامِ، وَجَلَّتْ وَعَظُمَتْ مُصِيبَتُكَ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ عَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ.

Peace be upon you, and upon the souls who came to rest in your courtyard. Upon all of you, from me, the peace of Allah forever, as long as I remain and as long as night and day remain. O Aba Abdillah, the calamity has become great, and the affliction has grown immense — upon us and upon all the people of Islam. Your loss is grave and immense in the heavens, upon all the dwellers of the heavens.

اللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْ أَوَّلَ ظَالِمٍ ظَلَمَ حَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَآخِرَ تَابِعٍ لَهُ عَلَىٰ ذَلِكَ. اللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنِ الْعِصَابَةَ الَّتِي جَاهَدَتِ الْحُسَيْنَ، وَشَايَعَتْ، وَبَايَعَتْ، وَتَابَعَتْ عَلَىٰ قَتْلِهِ. اللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمْ جَمِيعًا.

O Allah, distance from Your mercy the first oppressor who wronged the right of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and the last one who followed him in that. O Allah, distance from Your mercy the company that fought Husayn, and that supported, pledged allegiance to, and followed those who sought his killing. O Allah, distance them all from Your mercy.

يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ، إِنِّي أَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَإِلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ وَإِلَىٰ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِلَىٰ فَاطِمَةَ وَإِلَى الْحَسَنِ وَإِلَيْكَ بِمُوَالَاتِكَ، وَبِالْبَرَاءَةِ مِمَّنْ أَسَّسَ أَسَاسَ ذَلِكَ، وَبَنَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُنْيَانَهُ، وَجَرَىٰ فِي ظُلْمِهِ وَجَوْرِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَلَىٰ أَشْيَاعِكُمْ.

O Aba Abdillah, I draw near to Allah, to His Messenger, to the Commander of the Faithful, to Fatima, to al-Hasan, and to you, by loving you and being your ally — and by disavowing those who laid the foundation of injustice, built their structure upon it, and continued in oppression and tyranny against you and your followers.

إِنِّي سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ، وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ. وَأَلْعَنُ آلَ زِيَادٍ وَآلَ مَرْوَانَ، وَأَلْعَنُ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ قَاطِبَةً، وَأَلْعَنُ ابْنَ مَرْجَانَةَ، وَأَلْعَنُ عُمَرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، وَأَلْعَنُ شِمْرًا، وَأَلْعَنُ آلَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَأَتْبَاعَهُمْ.

I am at peace with whoever is at peace with you, and at war with whoever wars against you, until the Day of Resurrection. I distance from mercy the household of Ziyad and the household of Marwan, and the entire clan of Umayyah, and Ibn Marjana, and Umar ibn Sa'd, and Shimr, and the household of Abu Sufyan and their followers.

اللّٰهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي شَفَاعَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْوُرُودِ، وَثَبِّتْ لِي قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَكَ مَعَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَأَصْحَابِ الْحُسَيْنِ، الَّذِينَ بَذَلُوا مُهَجَهُمْ دُونَ الْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ. اللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي عِنْدَكَ وَجِيهًا بِالْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ.

O Allah, grant me the intercession of Husayn on the day of arrival, and establish for me a footing of truthfulness in Your presence, alongside Husayn and the companions of Husayn, those who gave their lives for Husayn, peace be upon him. O Allah, make me honoured in Your presence by al-Husayn, peace be upon him, in this world and the next.

يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ، إِنِّي أَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَى اللّٰهِ بِزِيَارَتِكُمْ، وَبِمَحَبَّتِكُمْ، وَبِالْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِكُمْ، تَسْلِيمًا لِأَمْرِكُمْ، وَرَدًّا عَلَىٰ مَنْ جَحَدَكُمْ. اللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَحْيَايَ مَحْيَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَمَمَاتِي مَمَاتَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ.

O Aba Abdillah, I draw near to Allah by visiting you, by loving you, and by disavowing your enemies — submitting to your command, and answering those who denied you. O Allah, make my life the life of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and my death the death of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. (It is recommended to perform two raka'at and a brief sajdah after the ziyarah.)
